HERD International team has shared their ‘Insights’, as Nepal is one of the fastest urbanizing countries in Asia, they have highlighted the challenges of air pollution, waste management, nutrition, NCD's and life expectancy due to this rapid increase in urban population in Nepal. They have found there are significant disparities across provinces in terms of poverty. The importance for the urban health strategies to be aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals in order to address the non-communicable diseases and to lead to improvements to the urban environment. They highlight that a wider public awareness and understanding is needed for the climate change impact.
